9 people gunned down in their church by a loan psycho and naturally some people are politicizing the massacre and even blaming some of the victims for their own deaths. NRA bored member Charles Cotton is blaming the deaths of those 9 people on South Carolina state senator Clementa Pinckney who was also killed in the shooting.
Writing on TexasCHLForum.com, a forum at which he is an administrator, Cotton stated, “[Pinckney] voted against concealed-carry. Eight of his church members who might be alive if he had expressly allowed members to carry handguns in church are dead. Innocent people died because of his position on a political issue.”
This is the argument we hear all the time from members of the NRA. Statement like these were also made after the school massacre in Connecticut . Could both of these shootings have turned out different if someone else had a gun? Maybe. But to blame the deaths on a vote by the hands of a domestic terrorists driven by hate, is just unacceptable.
